George Reynolds was born in Ann Arbor Michigan and moved to the Connecticut River Valley in 1970 to attend Wesleyan University. He has been a mathematician and computer scientist, teaching at Union College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst and subsequently working as a software architect at various Western Massachusetts companies. His interests are music (old-time fiddle and classical piano), gardening, sculpture (static and dynamic) and he is currently combining traditional methods of marbling on paper and fabric with the creation mobiles and other sculpture. He currently lives and works in Whately, MA with his wife Nancy Sherman.
